Here is to hoping that the Wings can win the next two games. As a Hawks fan it is hard to root for the Wings, but I would love to see one more play-off battle between these two great franchises before you guys move east.

Beside, I think the Hawks match up well against the Wings. Not that it would be a walk in the park to play them as the wings have played much better down the stretch.

Plus one last time to give Detroit a would be nice.

Glad to see Lashoff is out. He played good early in the season but as it went on he became a liability defensively and since he doesn't bring much offense at all as a stay at home type, that is not a good thing.

The other change that needs to happen is Quincey off the PP. 1 assist on the PP during the season and nothing so far in the playoff so why the hell is he still on the PP? Ericsson had more points during the season with no PP time so why not give him some time on the PP? He can't do much worst. Easy to see why the Wings PP and offense in general has struggled at times this season...they don't get enough offense from the defensemen. Kindl can be frustrating on the PP when he shoots either right on the player covering him at the point or completely misses the net.

I hope they can pull off a win somehow tonight but I won't count on that happening.

He will get a good look next year. Not sure where he fits though. I imagine helm centring third line and Anderson 4th

Z wins it and the Wings live to see another game. Going to have to cut down on the bonehead plays in game 7 if they want any chance at winning it. Way too many giveaways in this game.

My sweet god, Kenny don't bring Filpulla nor Quincey back.

but Z just simply won't let the Wings season die, lad is a true leader for sure. -- I liked Howards game tonight too.

Did I mention the Donkey twins Filpulla and Quincey -- I hope to never see them in a Wings uni again, give me Tatar and, cripes, I will even put wings4life on the ice rather than Quincey.

good luck to fil in getting his rumored 5 mill a season, not from detroit. he can go (frank) off like hudler. filpulla has had ONE good season in his career.

totally agree. You and I were not high on Hudler or Filpulla... and tonight is why.

let him walk, I dont even want Flip at 2million -- Quincey, should be sent down the toilet with the rest of the shat. I can't even stand the look of him in a Wings uniform.

tatar and the griffins looking good. 2 goals for him in the series opener vs. toronto marlies. pulkinnen scores as well as the griffins win 7-0.

Pulkinen is a midget But, I wonder if a guy like Jankrok can step in next season. Doubt it as him and Sheahan are the two top C prospects right now. Thats the advantage with Filpulla, he plays C.

He has to re-sign Flip now after not trading him at the deadline. If he lets him walk for nothing then Holland is a dumbass and if he gives him anywhere near 5 mil he's a dumbass too. Poor assets management by Holland yet again.

after this playoff performance, let him walk. -- cap going down, the lad wants 5million and he is doing bounce passes off of end boards in an elimination game while protecting the lead.

bua-bye.

Id rather have a lineup littered with Anderssons, Nyquist, Tatar vs Cleary, Filpulla and Miller at this point. //

Despite the way he has played this year I would take him back at the right price because I think he will be much better next season. Plus it's not like the Wings are very deep in top lines centers or the UFA market filled with them either. If Jarnkrok isn't ready and one or both of Datsyuk/Zetterberg get injured next season...who comes in? Don't think Helm is a top 6 center and neither is Anderson at this point. Tricky situation.

filpulla will be overpaid. its a poop free agent market. and hes one of the top 6 skilled guys out there. but again who knows with the cap going down. who knows who gets bought out and whatnot.

Not like teams are going to buy out guys that are good and producing. They will buy out the expensive and unproductive players. Not a lot of owners that will want to pay a lot of money for players not to play for them if they think they can still produce and help the team. Players also have to want to sign with the Wings when Holland's offer likely won't be the best one money wise. Holland also likes players he knows over players he doesn't and i can't think of another center that has played for the Wings before that might hit the market.

That's a bit of an overreaction I'd say, he's been poop this playoff but he's definitely a good player. Having said that I'd be pretty disappointed if they bring him back at over 4 or 4.5, always expect him to take the next step and just hasn't.

Not sure I'd say they were sitting back, Anaheim looked dead in the water until the Filppula gift.

Well they weren't attacking like they can and you saw the difference after the Ducks tied it. They started to attack again and Zetterberg nearly scored.
